Job Description

The Data Solutions Consultant will be responsible for presenting Automated Intelligence’s (AI) cloud data technology to prospective customers, creating and delivering product and solution demonstrations, gathering customer requirements and making expert technical recommendations throughout the sales cycle.  

Additional Information

Main duties include (but not limited to):

  • Engage with clients who are seeking and evaluating competitive technology offerings to demonstrate the benefit and value of AI’s solutions
  • Conduct discovery workshops, undertake proof of concepts and solution demonstration sessions with clients as required to progress and help close deals
  • Build and configure demonstration and proof of concept environments to showcase the advantages our solutions and to prove they can be used to overcome customer challenges and provide tangible benefits
  • Write technical proposals and advise clients on the advantages and benefits of our solutions to progress and to close deals
  • Performance is measured on the ability to deliver expert solution consulting advice and provide enticing demonstrations resulting in product and business value selling
  • Being a trusted advisor, building relationships both internally with colleagues and with senior client stakeholders, influencers and decision makers

  • Head of Pre-Sales
Essential Criteria
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a software specific Sales Engineering or Technical Pre-Sales role, including the following:
    • Building and configuring demonstration environments
    • Planning and executing technology solutions and/or Proofs of Concept (PoCs)
    • Presenting business justifications and value proposition
    • Presenting business justifications and value proposition
    • Responding to RFI’s / RFP’s and Proposal documents
  • Experience of working with and/or consulting in Enterprise Content Management (ECM)
  • Technical understanding of Windows Server and SQL Server or other database systems
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Excellent presentation and relationship building skills
  • Home based but willing to travel (predominantly within the UK) on average 3 days per week
  • Must have the right to work independently in the UK on a permanent basis
Desirable Criteria
  • In addition to the above, the following skills and experience would be very welcome;
  • Technical capability in Microsoft Azure (highly desirable)
  • Knowledge/expertise on cloud architecture, security and infrastructure
  • Knowledge/expertise in data analysis, optimisation and migration
  • Understanding of Microsoft’s solution offerings on Azure: Technology Expertise and Business
  • Value Advantage Selling would be welcomed
  • Related experience in solution selling roles in private and/or public sector would be advantageous
  • Cloud and productivity solution selling experience - including Microsoft Azure & competing technologies is very welcome
  • Relevant bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Understanding of data protection and information management standards such as the GDPR
