Making SharePoint work for Records Management – SharePoint User Group Ireland Meeting

June 17th, 2013

Automated Intelligence (AI) will be speaking at the June 2013 SharePoint User Group Ireland Meeting, sharing expertise and experience around Records Management in SharePoint.  The event is free for anyone to attend and will be the Dublin TCube venue on the 20th June, 6.30pm – 9pm.

Since 2007 Microsoft has made many improvements to the record management capability in SharePoint, however there are still gaps in functionality for SharePoint to meet all the regulatory criteria set out for enterprise records management. An expert in this field, Tony Ogilvie, Head of Engagements for AI will be demonstrating how SharePoint can be adopted as a full Information Governance and Records Management Solution, which has helped many organisations improve governance, enhance user experience and at the same time reduce and control costs.

The event will also have SharePoint Architect Colin Byrne presenting about SharePoint 2013 new social features based around Facebook and Twitter style collaboration.

The SharePoint user group is a membership group of those who work with SharePoint in various ways who use events and discussion groups to share and learn from their experiences.
