Automated Intelligence (AI) have been selected as a key SME to deliver a more agile and governed way of working for The City of Edinburgh Council through a new Cloud-based information strategy.
AI and the specialist software and services they provide have been selected to migrate data to Microsoft Office 365, the Council’s chosen content management platform. Applications from Automated Intelligence will be used by the Council to promote business productivity whilst enhancing the information governance and records management capability of the solution.
Councillor Alasdair Rankin, Finance and Resources Convener, The City of Edinburgh Council, said: “This project is part of a wider transformation contract worth £186 million over seven years to transform our ICT services. We want to deliver an innovative service allowing us to continue to improve the customer service we provide. Engaging with SME’s is essential for innovation so we are delighted to be working with Automated Intelligence to help us deliver the content management project. The niche skills and experience that AI hold in the end-to-end management of information make them the right candidate for the contract.”
Steven Grier, Country Manager (Scotland) for Microsoft, commented on the contract award, “We are delighted to be working alongside Automated Intelligence to deliver such a flagship Office 365 project with The City of Edinburgh Council. The project will empower the Council’s users to work with, and adopt, the new platform quickly and easily with the enhanced functionality from Automated Intelligence solutions. This project will demonstrate how other local authorities can adopt a Cloud-based information strategy that not only benefits the organisations but also the citizens they serve.”
Mark Godfrey, CEO of Automated Intelligence, speaks on the partnership, “We see a huge trend in organisations moving towards the Cloud due to the scalability and flexibility it offers. We are delighted to be working with The City of Edinburgh Council to adopt a Cloud-based information platform securely and easily. Our solutions will help them to benefit from a more efficient information service, which will enhance the productivity of their staff.”
