Automated Intelligence (AI) has won the contract to migrate a local council authority to Microsoft Office 365 in collaboration with its Microsoft partner, risual.
Microsoft Office 365 is an ideal platform that guarantees the Council its mission-critical content remains secure, well structured, controlled and accessible from authorised Council devices. This will enable Council staff to work flexibly from anywhere and at any time, which is fundamental to the Council being able to move forward with its overall data strategy.
As part of the migration project, the Council sought to reduce costs associated with the removal of low-value content, which the council currently pays to hold in its file shares. This will involve gaining a clear understanding of the type of data the Council currently holds.
AI will deploy its data management platform, AI.DATALIFT, to analyse the Council’s entire data estate to provide a clear insight into the data’s value. With this insight, the volume of data that is deemed appropriate for migration will be significantly lowered; resulting in cost efficiencies and a cleaner and more relevant level of data.
By adopting these new ways of working, the Council’s 2,600 users will also benefit from enhanced collaboration and increased productivity enabled by Office 365, SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.
Eamon O’Connor, Partner Solutions Specialist, Automated Intelligence said, “Through this digital transformation project, the Council will be able to implement systems which enable remote working for staff. This enhances flexibility for the organisation and ensures the Council’s data can be remotely accessed in a secure fashion.”
“We are delighted to be able to continue delivering migration projects for our customers as part of our strategic partnership with risual.”
risual’s Partner Account Manager, Vivian Lines said, “risual is once again pleased to be working with Automated Intelligence on another great transformation project. Delivering efficient technologies and advice with the support of Automated Intelligence ensures that the Council is able to allow remote working for all staff, which is crucial in today’s climate.”
