Automated Intelligence (AI) is one of ten Northern Ireland-based organisations, which will journey to the USA this week to begin ‘Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) led by Bill Aulet at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The EDP is the first initiative of the Way to Scale programme, which aims to support local technology companies wanting to scale business operations by participating in an intensive entrepreneurial boot camp. The programme, which is supported by Belfast City Council and Invest NI, invites the CEO of each company to attend a number of key strategic workshops across the USA and Northern Ireland.

The EDP is a week-long residential at MIT and is led by award-winning entrepreneurial mentor Bill Aulet. The residential will focus on proven techniques to streamline and deepen strategic planning to develop a company’s long-term growth plan. AI’s CEO, Simon Cole, will participate in the EDP, where he will engage with a global entrepreneurial network of international CEOs over the course of the programme.

Simon commented, “We were delighted to have been selected to take part in the programme. This is a fantastic opportunity for Automated Intelligence to connect with and learn from some of the most experienced and successful entrepreneurs on the planet.

“Previous participants of the programme have achieved significant growth and added over 50% to direct employees. We have achieved so much as a local start-up company and hope to emulate this success. As we approach our 10th year in business at Automated Intelligence, we look ahead to applying learnings from the EDP  to our future business growth plans.”

The first stage of Way to Scale will commence at MIT, drawing on the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship at MIT. The ten organisations will continue the programme in Belfast before returning to Boston for the concluding workshops in March.
