|When:||23 Apr 2020, 10.00am-12.00pm|
On Thursday 23 April 2020, Automated Intelligence will contribute to a techUK session titled, ‘Data sharing across Government departments’. The discussion, which will be held at techUK’s headquarters in London between 10-12pm, will provide an overview of some of the challenges Government faces regarding safely and securely sharing data.
Last year the National Audit Office (NAO) reported on the use of data across Government and the difficulties it presented. Data is crucial to the way government delivers services for citizens, improves its own systems and processes, and makes decisions.
The NAO repeatedly emphasised the importance of evidence-based decision-making at all levels of government activity, and the problems that arise when data is inadequate. The relationship between the tech sector and Government was also highlighted as a key factor in enabling public officials to mater its data to improve services and efficiency.
techUK brings together companies, people and organisations who share a common interest in ensuring digital technology is used to build a stronger society and economy and ensure a sustainable future.
