Content Migration Project

The UK Supreme Court successfully migrated content to Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint Online which enabled them to benefit from a more streamlined and cost-effective case management system.

The United Kingdom Supreme Court is the highest court in the United Kingdom which hears a combination of civil and criminal cases.

The Supreme Court engaged with Automated Intelligence (AI) to complete an integral and complex migration project from Opentext Livelink to Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint 2013.

Using AI.DATAPOINT, AI’s Migration tool, vital information and data was securely and successfully migrated from their current systems.

This was in preparation for the organisation to benefit from a more streamlined and cost-effective case management system based on Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint 2013.

Paul Brigland, Head of ICT for the UK Supreme Court, comments, “The UK Supreme Court needed an agile, cost-effective solution that could log and track cases and applications to appeal. In order to modernise our current environment cost effectively, we made the strategic decision to implement a cloud-based solution to handle our critical case management systems.

“As part of this we required to move all of our case management content from the organisation’s existing case management system to the new solution. The new case management system was designed in a way to meet the Supreme Court’s individual needs, so the processes and structure within it were completely different to what we had used before. These differences meant that the exercise of migrating all the case information was complex.”

“Initially, Automated Intelligence proved that they could remove the content from our previously heavily customised system, which meant that we could decommission it. Following that they transformed the information so that it could be mapped accurately to the appropriate location in our new system. Our staff are now able to access new and historical case-loads from the new and improved system”
